Private Sunset Cruise in Taormina
Two hours on a private boat along the Taormina coast, timed for sunset: Isola Bella, sea caves and a Sicilian aperitif, just for your group.
What to expect on your sunset cruise
Our private sunset cruise in Taormina is two hours on the water with nobody else on board: just you, the people you choose and your skipper. As the light softens, you’ll follow the coastline past sea caves and quiet bays that can only be reached by boat.
The route takes in Isola Bella, the Blue Grotto and Cape Taormina, with a stop for a swim or a little snorkeling when conditions allow. Your skipper knows this coast well and will tell you about the places you pass, starting from Giardini Naxos, the first Greek colony in Sicily.
Then comes the reason you’re here: the sunset. The sky turns from gold to orange and violet, Mount Etna glows on the horizon and the aperitif comes out: Sicilian wine, prosecco, beer or soft drinks, with local snacks. With a bit of luck, you may even spot dolphins near the boat.
The price is for the whole boat, not per person, and covers up to 6 guests, which makes this sunset boat tour ideal for couples, families and small groups of friends, and a lovely way to celebrate a proposal, an anniversary or a birthday. Private tours can be booked online: just choose your date.
Departure and return: Pontile Scalia, in the port of Giardini Naxos.
